We are an innovation studio based in Eindhoven (NL). We are always looking for new or forgotten technologies and once we find those, we transform them into wow products. Our innovations are fast and disruptive because we use a radical approach: instead of making technical products we make magical products.

Ministerie van Nieuwe Dingen was founded in 2009 in Eindhoven by Joris van Gelder.  The mission: to design magical products for everyday life.Eindhoven turned out to be a candy store without the colorful signs. Throughout the region there are companies that have interesting technologies but no way to market it or develop it into a successful product. Moreover we found an interesting network of diverse partners. Therefor we decided with our partners to make it our mission to transform technology into magical consumer products.

We work as follows: we scout in and outside of the brainport region for interesting technologies that have not yet reached their full market potential. Once we find a technology we assess it on maturity and whether it’s a good match with our expertise and partner network. When there is a match for all parties involved we start a project with three important milestones.

1. Safeguard intellectual property in a patent or otherwise.
2. Sell a license of the ip to a brand.
3. Introduce the technology/concept to the market with the brand.
